International Product Manager

This is a newly created role and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to perform a diverse range of Product and Project Management functions in a rapidly growing and dynamic company. The core activities and responsibilities of the role will include;

Approx 60% of the time. Relationship, product, project and account management to key clients and their existing and potential global distribution partners.

Approx 40% of the time. UK product management activities including technical product training, KOL management and identification, co-travel and case cover.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Regular travel in the region (60%).
  • Managing distributors, and agents, including staff training, motivation and field sales visits.
  • Attending relevant trade shows.
  • Providing feedback on competitor activity, new product requirements, application opportunities and pricing.
  • With the guidance of the Head of International Business Development have the ability to develop and execute sales plan, including forecasts and budgeting revenues for the region.
  • Lead client engagement by developing and managing relationships at the middle management and key decision-maker levels for large and medium customers.
  • With the guidance of the Head of International Business Development have the ability to manage sales transaction pipelines and forecasting.
  • Stays up to date with and understands the latest market developments and trends.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of international product management and orthopaedic industry experience is preferred as is a second language.
  • Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management and customers.
  • Expert on sales and marketing strategies and tactics.  Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Researching new opportunities and opening up new markets is an integral part of the job.
  • Be able to accurately record and communicate important industry info within the team using all mediums at disposal.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written); organization, and attention to detail
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain organization of business contacts to include companies, contact names, email address, and phone numbers
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Track record of product management, business development, commercial acumen, ownership and accountability with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel

Ideal background

Senior Sales Rep/Regional Sales Manager with experience selling medical device in 2 different sectors. Product/marketing manager in a regional or international role. Experience in orthopaedics is essential.
