California Orthopedic Association Annual Meeting

The California Orthopedic Association advocates for the growth and support of all of California’s orthopaedic surgeons so they may provide the highest quality care and access for patients. 

The annual meeting programme has been designed for the general orthopaedic surgeon to instruct them in the latest research and best practices in total joints, radiation safety, trauma, sports medicine, paediatrics, and spine. Orthopaedic practice managers, physician assistants and nurses are also encouraged to attend. 

Education Objectives: 

• Be able to implement new advancements in total joints, radiation safety, trauma, sports medicine, paediatrics, and spine. 
• Understanding management services organizations (MSOs) and their pros and cons. 
• Federal and state legislative updates affecting orthopaedic surgeons and their patients. 
• Understand how to conduct telehealth MSK evaluations. 
• Help orthopaedic surgeons understand new orthopaedic technology.

Programme topics include: 

• What’s new in total joints 
• New best practices in radiation safety 
• Osteoporosis 
• Paediatrics – update from experts 
• Emerging techniques in spine surgery 
• Disc replacement and motion preservation
