The event celebrates 60 years since Sir John Charnley first pioneered successful arthroplasty of the hip at Wrightington Hospital. The innovation changed countless lives for patients around the world and resulted in the development of modern implants for the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, wrist, fingers and toes.
This meeting is a real opportunity to bring together leaders in arthroplasty from all disciplines for a face-to-face meeting with experts from around the world. The meeting will cover the scope of modern arthroplasty practice including customisation, computer-aided planning and navigated surgery, the role of registries, common challenges of infection, and enhanced recovery. Break-out sessions will give the opportunity for subspecialist groups to discuss issues particular to their interest and our industry partners will share their latest innovations.
