Revolutionary cloud-based implant simulator to launch at AAOS 2022

Alfonso Cloud brings time-saving convenience and reliability to implant design process.

Hong Kong SAR, March 7th, 2022 – Lifespans today announced the launch of Alfonso Cloud, a self-service portal for implant testing that is an industry-first, providing the next level of convenience to streamline implant testing. The new service will debut at AAOS 2022, March 23-25.

Alfonso Cloud builds on the groundbreaking “particle-based” computer model of bone tissue which lies at the core of the Alfonso implant simulator platform. Already adopted by four major implant manufacturers, Alfonso is setting a new “gold standard” for implant testing. With Alfonso Cloud, implant designers can upload a model to the secure confidential cloud system, select which ASTM foam, or cadaveric models to run, and receive an ever-expanding range of results up to 10 X faster than through traditional testing labs and often, within the same day.

“We know that implant manufacturers constantly face time and budget limitations, especially when booking laboratory time and prototyping designs,” says Sloan Kulper, Ph.D., Lifespans CEO. “Alfonso Cloud has been designed to simplify the design process, combining the convenience of a cloud-based self-service portal with the new industry “gold standard” of Alfonso’s proprietary modelling system for pre-clinical safety and efficacy testing for orthopaedic devices.”

Alfonso Cloud will be debuted at the upcoming AAOS 2022 in Chicago at McCormick Place, South Building, Level 3 from March 23-25.

Visitors to the show, will be able to see for themselves the Alfonso Implant Simulator in action as well as live demonstrations at the Lifespans booth #3763 of the new, revolutionary Alfonso Cloud self-service interface.
