Welcome to the team, Mischa Free, Junior Marketing Executive

Mischa Free

Mischa Free joins the marketing team as a Junior Marketing Executive, providing support for our internal and external digital and direct projects and client campaigns.

She is joining fresh out of Bournemouth University, where she studied Marketing Communications with Advertising for the past four years. Mischa brings her expertise in media planning, advertising, brand meaning and creative strategy to the team.

During her course, Mischa spent one year on placement at West Berkshire Mencap as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist, creating social media strategies, email marketing campaigns and online fundraising.

Now Mischa is transferring her experience into the OCG marketing team and we caught up with Mischa to discover what she is most excited about joining the team.

What attracted you to join the Ortho Consulting Group team?

During the final weeks of my degree, I knew I wanted a job where I was able to develop and expand my skills and knowledge. When I read the job description, the key responsibilities and skills aligned with what I was seeking for my next marketing journey.

When I met with the team during my interviews, they went through the company’s mission of building and strengthening sales channels to bring new medical devices to market and how that helps end-users. It was interesting to hear and attracted me to the company even more.

Working within a smaller team also intrigued me to the company and role, as I know it will allow me to take ownership of projects and learn closely from people within the industry.

As a Junior Market Executive, I can be creative by assisting with campaign development and advancing my analytical skills through reporting.

What part of the role are you most excited about?

I am most excited to put what I learned at university into practice and develop my skills further by working alongside my peers.

The team uses a variety of marketing outlets, so I know I will be able to gain experience in both digital and direct marketing.

Some of the key activities I’m looking forward to getting involved with are the company’s paid social media strategies, producing email campaigns and organising event coverage for the team and our clients.

What has been your favourite task so far?

My favourite task so far has been designing a flyer for one of our clients for an upcoming medical education workshop they are having.

Using my creativity to design a fun and engaging flyer was great, and I have been advancing my design skills even further on other projects.

As I joined the company at the start of the month, I assisted the team in producing the monthly marketing report, which gets shared internally with everybody within the company. This allowed me to gain great insight into all the marketing campaigns produced in May as we analysed the month’s successes. Therefore, contributing to developing my analytical skills.
