27 May Welcoming Luize Kangethe, Contracts Assistant, to the Ortho Consulting Group team
We’re pleased to announce Luize Kangethe has joined Ortho Consulting Group (OCG) as a Contracts Assistant working within our Legal Department. This is a key hire for OCG and is an important step for the growth of the team as we prepare for the next stage of expansion.
Luize completed her Legal Practice Course at The University of Law in Guildford in 2018 and has since been working as a Paralegal and Contracts Manager focusing on commercial contracts as her specialist area.
Previously working at Adaptimmune Limited R&D Facility, a company that develops novel cancer immunotherapy products for cancer patients, Luize already has insight into the medical industry.
We caught up with Luize after her first week within the business to find out what attracted her to join OCG and what she’s most excited about for her new role.
What made you want to join the OCG team?
“Contract law is something I have always enjoyed, ever since my first work experience within the legal division at West Berkshire council when I was given the opportunity of assisting a commercial contract lawyer with drafting a Master Service Agreement,” said Luize.
“My first tutor at the University of Northampton also played a huge role. She showed so much passion for contract law that it inspired me to follow in this practice.
“As a Contract Assistant at OCG, I get to deal with a variety of different contracts every day within the Medical Devices Industry, such as NDAs, distribution and supplier agreements. This is a new sector that I am yet to conquer, and I am excited to learn more.”
What are you most excited for?
“I’m most excited to learn about the company and the exciting clients they are partnered with and their products. Throughout my career, I have always wanted to work within businesses that make a change to others.
“Working within OCG, you get to hear about the amazing different orthopaedic and spine products that are improving people’s wellbeing.”
Katherine Cunningham, OCG General Counsel, said: “I am very pleased to be welcoming Luize into the OCG Legal team. It is fantastic to bring further processing power to the team and will facilitate further expansion of our client-focused legal offering.
“Luize will play a vital role in this, and is already demonstrating her keen eye for detail; a great attribute for a contract specialist.”
